Hi Folks, So for the last good while I have been directing a bunch of spots for the US Campaign for Burma . I am humbled by the opportunity to direct them and I did my best to breath life into a subject none of us really want to look at. If you feel like supporting the cause, drop by the Burma: It Can’t Wait website and sign up as a voice for Burma. With the recent cyclone devastation and subsequent refusal of international aid by the military junta, Burma’s situation went from worse to extremely worse. Most people think money is the only way to help a cause such as Burma’s, but that’s not true. Knowledge, international pressure and some serious publicity are the tools of undoing brutal dictatorships in this interconnected day and age. Your money is valuable, no doubt, but so is your voice. So please add it to the Burma: It Can’t Wait campaign and help draw attention to a dictatorship that continues to slide under the radar.

Exciting news here, my short doc, Inside the Cup, will open at the Yerba Buena Center of the Arts - Missing Peace show. The show is all artistic creations inspired by The Dalai Lama and there are some serious heads showing. I will be making it up there for the opening, so hope to see you.

I recently directed this film, it’s 26 minutes and the summary goes:

‘Inside The Cup’ (adapted from Life As Cinema by Anika Tokarchuk) follow’s Khyentse Norbu’s journey to make ‘The Cup’, a film about soccer obsessed monks, and explores connections between Buddhist philosophy and cinema along the way.

Available as a companion film with The Cup DVD release.
